About the Role
A challenging and varied opportunity has arisen to join the finance / support team of a global
professional services company on a 9 month Maternity Cover. The role will give the successful applicant great exposure to international accounting and a fantastic opportunity to develop a career.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cost & Treasury Controller to manage and
oversee key aspects of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, General Ledger,
Intercompany Transactions, Payroll Payments, and VAT/GST compliance across multiple entities.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring financial accuracy, optimizing cash flow,
supporting payroll compliance, and maintaining inter-company and regulatory reporting standards.
Operations in Europe, Asia and the USA.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Review AP aging reports and manage liabilities across five entities.
- Oversee invoice processing and ensure timely approvals and payments.
- Set up new vendors in the financial system.
- Prepare and execute monthly vendor payment runs.
- Manage banking portal transactions and ensure accurate payment setups.
- Monitor and manage the Accounts Payable mailbox and correspondence.
- Review AR aged listings for five entities and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Allocate customer payments against invoices accurately.
- Monitor and manage incoming remittances via mailbox.
- Chase overdue debts and maintain weekly collection trackers.
- Post daily payments and lodgements.
- Monitor daily cash position and receipts across entities.
- Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations.
- Conduct cash forecasting and provide analysis to support decision-making.
- Prepare and post general journal entries.
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Support month-end close processes, including prepayments and accruals.
- Set up of monthly salary payments in the banking system.
- Schedule and process payroll tax payments in line with deadlines.
Prepare and submit VAT/GST returns for:
- Ireland (Bi-Monthly)
- UK (Quarterly)
- Belgium (Monthly)
- Singapore (Monthly)
About You
Essential:
- Qualified / Part Qualified Accountant
- At least 3 years accounting experience, exposure to the professional services industry would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills - ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
- Ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met.
- Advanced excel skills required.
