AHR is a team of Psychologists and Counsellors providing Occupational Health Psychology services to a range of public and private companies throughout Ireland.
Based in Cork and established in 1994, we have developed an range of meaningful psychological supports, trainings and interventions which have been shown to provide real benefits to individuals and companies.
A key component of our psychological supports is the provision of bespoke Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP). Our programme provides industry-leading counselling and psychological services to employees of client companies.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a strong background in administration, along with an excellent telephone manner.
- Can demonstrate a clear commitment to the care and wellbeing of clients availing of the EAP service.
- The ability to build strong relationships and be an effective part of a small team.
- Ideally experience working or training in a client care role - Nursing, Counselling, Social Care, Child Care.
- Strong IT skills – training will be provided on our internal programmes and systems
- Access to a home office, with high quality broadband.
Responsibilities Counselling Administrator/Clinical Case Manager
Priorities for this role includes:
- Receiving and managing calls from employees seeking support through the EAP service.
- Understanding the needs of the client and meeting those needs by sourcing the most appropriate Counsellor or Psychologist from our network of practitioners.
- Overseeing the clinical management of cases as appropriate.
- Managing a data base of over 250 counselling practitioners based throughout Ireland.
- Providing telephone support to clients who may be distressed and in need of immediate support.
- Liaising with client HR and Occupational Health professionals, providing appropriate guidance and support in managing procedural referrals into the EAP service.
- Co-ordinating with other health care providers including GP’s, Psychiatrists and Mental Health Services as appropriate.
- Providing input into AHR’s other occupational health psychological services including the delivery of crisis supports, workshops, promotional events etc.
- Working hours Mon-Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm.
- Deliver occasional on-call support at evening and week-ends as part of a 24 hour client cover.
- Working with our Psychologists in developing future innovations and directions for our EAP service.

Salary up to Euro40,000 p.a.
