Your mission
We are seeking an execution-focused and self starting Delivery Operations Manager to support our Chief Delivery Officer (CDO) in scaling and managing Johnson Hana’s rapidly growing delivery function. The Delivery Operations Manager will act as a trusted partner to the CDO, helping manage priorities, troubleshoot delivery challenges, drive operational performance, and lead special projects across the function.
You’ll have the support of a Project Delivery Analyst to own day-to-day operational elements of the function such as utilisation tracking, billing coordination, and reporting. This allows you to focus on higher-level problem-solving, process optimisation and scaling initiatives, while still maintaining clear visibility on delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight:
- Oversee and refine delivery operations including utilisation, capacity planning, and billing processes, supported by the Project Delivery Analyst.
- Ensure the production of accurate, timely reporting for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Act as an escalation point for project set up, timecard, billing and other delivery issues as well as a primary point of contact for queries for other teams.
- Partner with Finance, People, Talent Management and Commercial teams to align on headcount, performance, and resource needs.
- Manage and develop the Project Delivery Analyst, ensuring effective delegation of operational tasks and exposure to a range of growth opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve the scalability, efficiency, and quality of our delivery model.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement processes, systems, and tooling to support the delivery team’s growth.
- Step in as a hands-on project manager on strategic or at-risk projects as needed.
- Support project teams during peak periods or complex transitions by providing project management expertise, clarity, and structure.
- Tackle ambiguous, cross-functional delivery issues and design structured, scalable solutions.
- Partner closely with the CDO to support strategic planning, prepare for leadership meetings, and drive alignment across teams.
- Support on strategic commercial opportunities and marketing by acting as the interface with Delivery, co-ordinating subject matter expert inputs and owning the development of detailed technical collateral where required.
Your profile
- 6–10 years of experience in legal operations, strategy, consulting, or delivery management roles, ideally in professional services, ALSPs or legal tech.
- Proven ability to drive operational performance while leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Comfortable with taking ambiguous, unstructured problems and solving them at pace using strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communicator and collaborator, comfortable working across levels and functions with a proven ability to lead through influence.
- Expert level knowledge of common office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to leverage these to analyse data sets and present compelling messaging.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a bias toward action.
