The Mills Inn is a renowned family-run gastro pub, restaurant, and accommodation nestled on the Cork to Kerry route. Known for our warm hospitality and award-winning food, we are looking for a confident and experienced Duty Manager to help lead our team and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Role Overview
As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the daily running of the business, working closely with both front-of-house and kitchen teams to maintain high service standards, manage staff, and ensure smooth operations during your shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and lead the team during service.
- Ensure the highest standards of customer service are consistently delivered.
- Manage staff rotas, delegate tasks, and support team members during busy periods.
- Handle guest queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Support stock control and ordering processes.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and securing the premises.
- Ensure health & safety, hygiene, and licensing compliance at all times.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or duty management role within hospitality.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A hands-on approach and willingness to work across all departments.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Full driving licence or live within a commutable distance to Ballyvourney.
