Urlingford pre-school for little learners and after school care is dedicated to creating a supportive, creative, and safe environment where young children can thrive, learn, and grow. Our team is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education that fosters curiosity, respect, and a love for learning. We are looking for a passionate and caring Early Years Educator to join our team on a maternity cover basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Early Childhood Education: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality educational activities for children aged [insert age range, e.g., 3-12 years], based on the curriculum guidelines and individual development needs.
- Safeguarding & Welfare: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times. Follow safeguarding policies and practices to provide a secure environment.
- Child Development: Observe and assess children’s progress and development, providing feedback and creating plans for their individual growth.
- Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant Qualifications: Level 5 in early years education qualification (or equivalent) in Early Years Education, Childcare, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience working in an Early Years setting, ideally with children aged [3-12 years]. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Creativity & Enthusiasm: A passionate and creative approach to working with young children, with the ability to engage and inspire them in a fun, educational environment.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being confident in taking initiative.
- Commitment to Safeguarding: A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
