We are recruiting a new position of Estimating Manager. As the Estimating Manager you will lead the electrical estimating team and oversee the preparation, submission, and review of competitive tenders and budgetary estimates for major electrical and E&I projects. This is a key leadership position that requires both technical expertise and commercial acumen to ensure profitability and growth.
Your duties include:
· Lead and manage the electrical estimating function and team.
· Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and schedules to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.
· Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical and E&I installations.
· Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and project teams to validate estimates and methodologies.
· Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
· Lead bid preparation, presentation, and handover to project delivery teams.
· Maintain and develop estimating systems, databases, and benchmarking tools.
· Provide support for value engineering and design optimization during tender stage.
· Liaise with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders during the tendering process.
· Handover meeting with operations upon award of successful projects
Key Requirements:
· Relevant 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or from trade background, and has practical experience.
· Minimum of 5+ years post qualification experience (ideally in an electrical contracting environment)
· Proven experience in Data Centres, Industrial, Pharma projects or similar is desirable
· Excellent communication and ability to deal with clients and colleagues is paramount.
