Job Description – Service Project Manager - Switchgear Services
Reporting to the Service Senior Project Manager, this position provides an excellent opportunity to enhance professional growth and development.
The main remit of the role will encompass the following duties:
- Provide technical support for all non-contract enquiries, supporting the sales team in defining customer needs and defining suitable technical solutions.
- Attend pre-sales calls with clients and customers to gain a good understanding of modification requirements with the aim to make this process as efficient as possible.
- Where necessary, attend in-person at client site to discuss/clearly define proposed modification works.
- Review all non-contract sales quotations for technical correctness prior to issue to customer.
- Using suitable business tools, load (non-contract) service projects onto system and define scope of project deliverables.
- Attendance at internal project meetings for formal handover of solutions to Design/Manufacturing departments.
- Manage non-contract projects through the project lifecycle process working with Design/Manufacturing team to ensure timely production of planned builds.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and customers in order to meet delivery schedules for non-contract builds.
- Liaise with clients/customers to arrange installation and commissioning activities in line with expected standards.
- Provide all necessary site documentation, RAMS etc. associated with non-contract site activities.
- Support internal discussions with project delivery team to ensure technical and scope alignment with non-contract deliverables.
- Financial responsibility for all non-contract projects, ensuring all projects are completed and invoiced within an agreed timescale and within planned delivery margins.
- Responsibility for maintaining adequate tracking system to ensure all live projects are properly monitored.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Have excellent technical knowledge of LV switchgear.
- Have excellent knowledge of engineering technical drawings.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Be an efficient organiser and be able to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable Criteria
- Past experience of working in a service Project Management environment.
