We are a dynamic and growing company seeking an experienced and motivated Evening Shift Manager to join our production team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll play a key part in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently during the evening shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the evening shift team to efficiently execute the production plan.
- Assist the Production Manager with project and shift planning.
- Oversee operations across multiple areas of the production floor: steel fabrication, paint, and assembly.
- Plan, organize, and delegate work in accordance with production schedules.
- Provide ongoing guidance and leadership to staff, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
- Enforce and maintain safety standards and procedures across all operations.
- Monitor progress and coordinate with day shift management to ensure continuity.
- Identify bottlenecks or process inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain quality control standards and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar supervisory or management role.
- Background in steel fabrication is required.
- Working knowledge of press brake operation (preferred).
- Valid forklift operator license (preferred).
- Skilled in the use of hand tools.
- Ability to interpret and work from CAD drawings.
- Strong IT/computer literacy.
- Highly self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
- Strong team leadership and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of workplace Health & Safety practices.
