Essential functions of the role:
- Responsible for the successful execution of catered events from initial enquiry through to completion. The size of events will range from a sit-down dinner party in a family home, corporate events, to the coordination of a high-end wedding, and everything in between.
- Must have strong communication skills and must be confident in delegating tasks to staff.
- Organise, book and co-ordinate staff at all events. This also includes performing on the job service training, rotas and submission of hours to payroll.
- You must be willing to take on the role of head wait person at larger events and aid all areas of service and delivery as required throughout the event.
- Manage client interaction in the run up to each event.
- Liaise with other associated vendors involved in the event, including the organisation of hire requirements through our preferred suppliers.
- Additional duties as necessary and assigned.
- During quite periods you will be required to get involved in the sales/marketing function.
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
- Have a full clean Irish/EU drivers’ licence.
- A passion for food and food styling with a keen interest in following the latest trends in food and event styling.
- Working 5 days over 7. The position will require some night-time and weekend work. This is deemed a part of the industry, nature of the role, and overtime will not apply but you will get time in lieu. Therefore, working hours can be flexible and are open to discussion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be fluent.
- Be self-motivated and pro-active in seeking out new business and building relationships with outside vendors.
- Comfortable with all major software packages, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, as well as database management and upkeep.
- Ability to operate food and beverage equipment present at different events.
- Location is Dublin and surrounding areas.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 3 years’ plus hospitality industry experience.
- Must have previous experience in an events / banqueting role.
- HACCP training required.
- Health & safety training and certificates preferred, along with knowledge of HSE regulations.
- First aid training preferred but not essential.

Pay: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
