We are looking for someone who is experienced at baking and decorating sweet confections in a busy commercial kitchen. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, baking and decorating cakes, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, pastries and other bakery items that are on the bakery schedule. They will also be required to professionally decorate celebration cakes
We are looking for someone that understands the function of a busy bakery. The candidate will be working closely with the bakery manager and management team.
This candidate should ideally come from a commercial bakery background with the right skills to suit the role and used to working in a very fast paced environment. They will be required to work a minimum of 5 days per week, 40 hours including Saturdays (No Sundays or Bank Holidays) The role will require early morning starts but you will be finished mid-afternoon.
Requirements include
- experience in commercial cake production and decoration.
- HACCP certification and a good up-to-date knowledge & understanding of food safety / HACCP system
- Must have a professional attitude and have the ability to work efficiently and effectively with the bakery team
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Production and finishing of cakes, cupcakes, patisserie, desserts and other bakes to our recipes and specifications
- Maintain HACCP requirements
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and work areas are correctly used, cleaned and maintained at all times
