Role Overview:
This is a hands-on role for an experienced gardener who is passionate about horticulture. You will work on top-end private gardens, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards. You will need a love for plants, a solid understanding of horticulture, and the drive to continually learn and develop your skills. You will be part of a close-knit, supportive team, and should be comfortable showing initiative when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality garden maintenance, including lawn care, pruning, weeding, and seasonal planting.
- Implement horticultural practices with attention to detail, ensuring gardens meet client expectations.
- Identify and resolve plant health issues, advising clients on garden care.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintain and operate gardening equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist in designing and implementing garden enhancements and improvements.
- Support the team in maintaining stock and supplies for ongoing projects.
- Regularly communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction and maintain positive relationships.
- Participate in on-the-job training and development opportunities to continually improve your skills and horticultural knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Full clean driving licence (essential).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in gardening or a relevant horticultural qualification.
- Safe Pass (essential).
- Strong knowledge of horticulture and garden maintenance.
- Enthusiastic and eager to develop professionally in the horticultural field.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.

Work Location:
This position is based in our yard in Newcastle, South Co. Dublin, between the N7 and N4. You will need your own transport to get to the yard.
