About this Role: As a key member of the Finance Operations team, the Finance Analyst will be responsible for cash management and reconciliation for a number of mortgage portfolios. In addition, the analyst will be responsible for investigating open breaks and will report directly to the Finance Operations manager.
Location: Shannon or Dublin
Type of Contract: Fixed Term Contract (23 months)
Key Responsibilities
Financial control
- Cash management and reconciliation of over 100 bank accounts.
- Daily cash sweeps to investors
- Assist with month end reporting within agreed deadlines.
- Investigation & closure of open unreconciled items; investigate issues thoroughly to determine root causes and escalation to Management.
- Provide support to the Financial Operations team in relation to projects and supporting new business initiatives.
Support the business on new business and growth initiatives
- Provide support to the business in assessing the financial aspects of our systems including UAT testing.
- Assist to ‘on-board’ new servicer portfolios and integrate/develop new/existing processes.
- Assist to ‘off-board’ servicer portfolios ensuring reconciliations complete.
Reporting & Analysis
- Review reporting packs and liaise with Data Analytics team.
- Analysing and identify variance with sweeps with monthly reviews- IPD Interest Payment Dates (IPD)
- Audit preparation and reporting where required.
Key Performance Indicators
- Quality, Accuracy and Timeliness of the month end and reconciliations processes.
- Understanding of business developments and how they impact the results of the business.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improved efficiencies
- Contribution to business systems review and new business initiatives.
- All internal and external Reporting deadlines are met.
