Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Manager will oversee all aspects of financial management. The role ranges from financial leadership for global operations to hands-on management of the finance team in an established and growing company.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with the ability to develop and simplify financial systems, analyse data, provide actionable insights, and collaborate effectively with the CEO and across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing day-to-day finance and accounting operations for the Irish and UK businesses, including purchasing, cashflow and debtor control
- Prepare and present monthly and annual management accounts liaising with external accountants in a timely and efficient manner
- Own and develop financial systems and processes through our ERP system - with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ownership of general ledger reconciliations and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded
- Maintain robust financial controls and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Responsible for ensuring all Irish, UK, EU OSS and US tax and other compliance returns are completed on time
- Prepare and deliver quarterly licensee royalty reports as well as overseeing licensor payments and reporting.
- Manage corporate insurance and credit insurance policies.
- Analyse and track performance metrics, such as costs, stock management, and sales, to enhance profitability across the business.
- Conduct periodic audits to mitigate financial risks and improve controls.
What We’re Looking For:
- Analytical Skills: Strong skills in managing and interpreting complex financial data and presenting clear, actionable insights. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Collaboration: Proven experience working effectively with internal and external teams and stakeholders.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence, advise and support across the business and with customers and external partners.
- Strategic Mindset: An ability to connect financial analysis to broader business objectives. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Technical skills: Proficient in accounting systems, with a preference for Intact Xline or Xero. Strong data management skills with experience of automation within financial and eCommerce systems highly desirable.
- Qualifications and Experience: A qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). 4+ years PQE working in a relevant financial role, ideally within manufacturing, retail or eCommerce.
