About Us: Sofrimar was established in 1979 to harness the abundant supply of shellfish landed at Kilmore Quay, Co. Wexford. We now export to all key European Markets and to Asia. We are now offering an opportunity for a qualified individual to contribute to our continued success during a maternity leave period.
Position: Interim Finance Manager (Maternity Leave Cover)
Location: Kilmore Quay, Co. Wexford
Type: Temporary, Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the finance team's (3 direct reports) daily operations, ensuring the continuity of financial processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of statutory financial statements and liaise with auditors on audit & corporate taxation
- Manage Monthly management accounts and monthly/weekly variance analysis & operational KPIs
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to maintain stability and compliance.
- Support the organization's strategic initiatives and decision-making with insightful financial guidance
- Ensure regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met - PAYE, VAT, CT, CSO, CRO returns
- Ensure all financial activities adhere to company policies, standards, and government regulations.
Qualifications:
- Accountancy Qualification or similar.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in finance management or a senior finance role.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial software; advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to maintain team cohesion and liaise effectively.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
- Detail-oriented approach and dedication to maintaining financial accuracy.
