General Operative

We are looking for another general operative to join our team.

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Main Purpose of the Job: The ideal candidate must have experience in picking, dispatching and have the ability to work smart. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager and or department Team lead, the General Operative will be responsible for the upkeep and organisation of the warehouse area. Working effectively as part of a team in which you'll make sure our customers can rely on a timely, friendly and dependable service.

Relevant Skills & Requirements

• You will work as part of a team and have a good level of customer care.
• You must speak fluent English, be hard working and have the ability to take direction in a fast -paced environment.
• Conscientious and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work on your own initiative.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Counter balance/ Reach lift Certification necessary.
• Relevant experience working in a busy warehouse would be an advantage.

Main Duties:

• Ensure that the warehouse/store is always kept tidy. .
• Follow direction of team leader to ensure duties are carried out to the highest standards.
• Picking and dispatching of goods.
• Loading and unloading of containers.
• Adhere to all Health and safety practices and look to continually advance & improve
• Actively safeguard against theft of goods or company property by being security conscious.
• Work and communicate as a team member to ensure the warehouse operates efficiently and effectively within company policy.
• Perform any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required by the company.
