Role Overview
You will be responsible for sewing 57 velvet drawstring bags, used for packaging our luxury wool rugs. You will also assist in sewing fabric labels onto Irish linen, which requires on-site work due to the dimensions and setup.
Work may be completed from home if preferred, provided you are located within 40km of Fahan, Donegal, to allow for material delivery and collection. Alternatively, you may work from our designated site where all equipment and materials are provided.
This role requires exceptional attention to detail, given the premium positioning of the brand and the tactile importance of our packaging experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce 57 high-quality velvet drawstring bags to brand specification
- Sew branded labels onto pre-cut Irish linen (on-site only)
- Handle luxury materials with precision and care
- Work to a deadline while maintaining consistent craftsmanship
- Maintain clear communication regarding progress and any material requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in sewing or tailoring, ideally with delicate or high-end materials
- Ability to follow instructions and technical requirements accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable and self-directed with good time management
- Own sewing machine and workspace if working from home (optional; on-site equipment available)
- Must be located within 30 miles of Fahan, Donegal for home-based work
Desirable
- Experience working with velvet, linen, or heritage fabrics
- Understanding of luxury or handmade product finishing standards
Additional Information
- All materials are supplied by Rugs of Ireland
- On-time delivery and consistent quality may lead to future freelance contracts
- Training on brand-specific finishing may be provided on-site, if required

Pay: €13.50-€17.71 per hour
