Join the team at Arboretum Urban Green, where our award-winning café is a key part of the customer experience. We’re currently looking for a dedicated and energetic Café Assistant to support day-to-day operations and help create a warm, efficient, and enjoyable environment for all our guests.
Your Role:
As a Café Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running of our café—from serving food and managing tables to supporting the kitchen and barista teams. You’ll bring a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a customer-first approach to everything you do.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve food and beverages efficiently providing a positive customer experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation across the café floor, service areas, and self-service stations
- Assist in clearing tables and resetting for the next customers
- Support the kitchen and front-of-house teams with general duties
- Replenish stock and monitor supplies during service
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times
- Ensure every customer receives a warm and helpful experience
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting
- A helpful, approachable, and team-focused attitude
- Good communication skills and a calm, professional manner
- The ability to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays as required
