The Errigal Country House Hotel is a renowned 4-star venue located in the heart of Cootehill, Co. Cavan. Known for its elegant charm, award-winning weddings, and luxury hospitality, the hotel has recently expanded to include the R&R Brasserie and the R&R Garden Spa — enhancing our offering of food, relaxation, and experiences. We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the next chapter of our journey.
The Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and passionate General Manager to oversee all aspects of our hotel operations — including accommodation, weddings, functions, food and beverage, spa, and customer service. The ideal candidate will bring energy, professionalism, and a clear vision for delivering excellence across every department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations of the hotel, R&R Brasserie, and R&R Garden Spa.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences through attention to detail and high service standards.
- Manage and motivate departmental managers and their teams.
- Drive sales and profitability across accommodation, events, F&B, and spa services.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance of staff.
- Monitor and maintain standards in health & safety, hygiene, and service delivery.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the business.
- Liaise with ownership and stakeholders, providing regular performance reports.
- Uphold the hotel’s reputation for excellence in hospitality and bespoke wedding services.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in hotel management or a senior leadership role in a 4-star (or above) venue.
- Proven track record in managing weddings, events, F&B, and/or spa operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to lead by example.
- A genuine passion for hospitality, guest satisfaction, and team development.
