We are looking for a Hostel Receptionist to join our team - for 20 to 35 hours per week.
The hostel
We are a large tourist hostel located in the center of Dublin. Abbey Court was awarded the most popular hostel in Dublin for four consecutive years and the second and third-best hostel in the world for groups. We have 381 beds with further plans for expansion in the future. Our rooms range from large dorms right down to double and single private rooms.
The person
We are seeking to recruit a full-time receptionist who works well on a team, shows leadership, and takes responsibility, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Please note: the successful candidate must be available to work flexible shifts, Monday-Sunday
Experience
Hotel/Hostel receptionist experience required. Some knowledge of front office hostel/hotel systems (Cloudbeds) would be preferable.

Responsibilities
Taking responsibility for the building & guests safety
Patrolling the building and seeing to any issues
Provide excellent customer care to our guests
Check-in and check-out of guests
Assist in achieving sales targets for the department
Assist with guest reservations
Assist with guest queries
Upsell the hostel facilities
Answering all phone calls in a polite and timely manner
Being familiar with all of the day’s business including arrivals, departures
Ensuring all cash, billing, and float procedures are adhered to at all times
Dealing with all problems as they arise
Prioritising issues and how/when to solve them
