Human Resources Administrator - Waterford
We are a well-established construction company, focused on electrical engineering projects across Ireland and in several locations in Mainland Europe. We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Administrator to join our team, supporting our busy HR Team focused on Recruitment and Onboarding, Employment Relations, Learning and Development and all the curveballs that come up everyday in between!
The Opportunity
As our new HR Administrator, you will work closely with our HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Specialists and Learning & Development Manager. You will also liaise closely with our Apprenticeship Team and our EHS Coordinator, to ensure smooth and efficient communications across our departments. This role will suit a HR graduate with at least a number of years’ administration experience, someone with high accuracy and close attention to detail, and a passion for people. We are a vibrant happy bunch with a lot going on, we’re looking for someone equally enthusiastic and hardworking to compliment our crew. This role will be predominantly office-based, with opportunity to work from home on occasion by agreement.
Some Typical Duties of this Role
- Support the onboarding process - including new starter calls, conducting background/reference checks, completion and receipt of necessary pre-employment documentation.
- Prepare and distribute offer letters, employment contracts, and other onboarding documents for new employees.
- Manage HR correspondence by handling communications related to policy updates, employee inquiries, and scheduling notifications.
- Maintain and update the HR information system, ensuring all employee records are accurate, current, and compliant with company standards.
- Assist in drafting and distributing internal HR communications, such as policy updates, announcements, and job descriptions via the company intranet.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, including document preparation, meeting scheduling, and handling HR-related inquiries.
- Support the various team projects such as HR optimisation initiatives and recruitment campaigns
Who We’re Looking For...
- 3+ Years’ administration experience, ideally in HR or a recruitment environment
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources (level 8) or similar field of study.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HR Management Software and/or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- High level of accuracy in data entry and document preparation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and interact professionally with candidates and stakeholders.
