Job Title: HR Manager
Location: Kilkenny, Ireland
Company: Noreside Engineering Group
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: Competitive (Based on experience)
Experience Level: Mid-Level to Senior
About Us
At Noreside Engineering Group, we specialise in delivering high-quality engineering solutions to the pharmaceutical and food industries. We take pride in our reputation for reliability, innovation, and craftsmanship—and we know our people are at the heart of everything we do.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a HR Manager who’s not just great with policies and paperwork, but someone who genuinely cares about creating a positive, supportive place to work.
About the Role
This is a hands-on and varied role ideal for someone who enjoys both the people side of HR and the practical day-to-day operations of a busy company. You'll be working closely with managers and staff across all departments—helping us hire great people, keep everything running smoothly, and ensure Noreside continues to be a great place to work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage the full recruitment and onboarding process—from job ads and interviews to first-day welcomes.
- Assist with payroll and oversee the processing of staff expenses.
- Be the go-to person for employee queries, offering support and guidance as needed.
- Keep our HR policies and contracts up to date and legally compliant.
- Support performance reviews, feedback sessions, and development plans.
- Coordinate training and wellbeing initiatives to help our team grow.
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and documentation.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to support the smooth running of daily activities.
- Spot opportunities for process improvements and help make things more efficient.
- Support our health & safety practices to ensure everyone goes home safe.
- Assist with resource planning to make sure we have the right people in the right places.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers, keeping quality high and costs under control.
- Help compile reports for management on HR and operational matters.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in a HR Manager or similar role.
- A solid understanding of Irish employment law and HR best practices.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle tasks in a busy environment.
- A natural communicator who is approachable, empathetic, and clear.
- Comfortable with HR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Discreet, professional, and able to handle sensitive situations with care.
- Someone proactive who likes to solve problems, not just point them out.
What You’ll Get
We value our people and make sure they’re supported, recognised, and given room to grow. Here’s what we offer:
- Competitive salary
- Pension scheme
- Death in service cover
- Free digital GP access for employees and their families
- Bereavement counselling and family mental health support
- Opportunities for training and professional development
- A friendly, supportive team where your voice matters
- The chance to make a real impact in a growing, people-first company
How to Apply
If you're a people-focused HR professional who wants to be part of a close-knit team and help shape the future of a growing company, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV and a short cover letter telling us why you think you’d be a great fit.
