Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced In-House Master Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of refrigerated trucks and vans. This role is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of all fleet vehicles, with a strong emphasis on refrigeration units. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional who can diagnose complex issues and perform both preventative and emergency maintenance with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel trucks and refrigerated trailers (Thermo King, Carrier, etc.)
Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and maximize fleet uptime.
Maintain service logs and records of repairs, inspections, and parts usage.
Coordinate with dispatch and fleet management to schedule maintenance without impacting deliveries.
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and parts, and order supplies as needed.
Assist in training junior mechanics and ensuring best practices in safety and maintenance procedures.
Respond to on-road breakdowns as needed (some after-hours or weekend availability may be required).

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in diesel mechanics or HVAC/refrigeration preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with at least 2 years working with refrigerated transport units.
Master Mechanic certification strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
Must be able to lift up to 25 Kgs and work in a physically demanding environment.
