Reporting to: Head of Technology Operations
Responsibilities:
- Understanding and experience of supporting core infrastructure, including:
- Microsoft technologies – Azure Active Directory, Group Policies, IIS, WSUS, Windows Server, DFS, DNS, NTFS etc.
- Network Environments (Routers, Firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, SASE) –- understanding of core networking concepts.
- Azure AD config and admin, O365 admin and support
- Windows Server and Storage troubleshooting, Windows Server tuning
- Backup Solutions and Technologies (Veeam), DR and Business Continuity knowledge
- VOIP Solutions and IP traffic management (VLANs, QoS)
- Printing, print management
- Experience in MFA and Intune and MDM
- Full appreciation of IT security, concepts and implementation
- Working with MSPs, vendors and partners to manage problems and escalations
- Alert management to reoccurring problems and patterns of problems, RCA Analysis
- Perform capacity planning for server & storage resources
- Experience of VMware VSphere Operations and Admin knowledge and management
- Experience of Citrix NetScaler & XenApp Admin, Performance and Deployment (Image Management and App integration)
Requirements
- 5+ years IT experience in an admin / support role, 3+ years of experience working in critical production environments, including Disaster Recovery support.
- Third level technical qualification, or relevant experience
- Extensive experience working with highlighted core infrastructure technologies
- Microsoft / VMWare or OEM specific technical qualifications and certifications
- Excellent technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- A strong customer-focused communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives, working independently and within the IT team
- Availability to do occasional out of hours'/weekend work when required
- A high degree of technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels.
- An ability to work under pressure
- Understands ITIL and Change Management
