DP World are currently recruiting for an International Transport Driver to join our team in Dublin , Ireland. The ideal candidate will possess a valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) license and have substantial experience driving in Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe. This role involves transporting goods across international borders, requiring comfort with extended overnight stays and frequent travel.
About the role:
- Safely operate HGVs for the transport of goods across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.
- Plan and execute long-haul routes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining a high standard of safety.
- Manage documentation for international deliveries, including customs and border control paperwork.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues for maintenance.
- Ensure the security of cargo throughout the journey.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics team and clients, providing updates on delivery status.
Your Key Skills:
- Valid/Current HGV license
- Proven experience in international driving, particularly in Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.
- Strong knowledge of road regulations and requirements in multiple countries.
- Comfortable with frequent travel and extended overnight stays.
- Excellent navigation skills and ability to adapt to different road conditions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
