About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring our residents receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a clean and welcoming environment. This is a vital support role within the home, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a team, takes pride in cleanliness, and values the importance of food in the care setting.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting the chef with meal preparation
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area
- Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Following HACCP procedures and food safety standards
- Supporting with food service during mealtimes
- Assisting with stock rotation and deliveries
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment (preferred but not essential)
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene (training can be provided)
- A team player with a positive and respectful attitude
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends on a rota basis
