Vaughans Kilfenora Pub and Restaurant, a distinguished culinary destination, is in search of an experienced and innovative Senior Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader, responsible for overseeing all aspects of culinary operations, maintaining exceptional food quality, and driving the creative direction of our culinary offerings.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. You’ll play a key support role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly—ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and organization at all times in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces
- Operate dishwashing machines and handle manual cleaning when necessary
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation as needed
- Ensure all waste is disposed of correctly and recycling is followed
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Support kitchen operations during busy service hours
- Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role preferred but not essential
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Must be legally able to work in Ireland
- Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Own transport is a plus due to rural location
