We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team. As a Kitchen Porter at Brio, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen, ensuring a seamless operation to provide our guests with an exceptional dining experience.
Position Overview:The Kitchen Porter will be responsible for supporting the kitchen team in various tasks, including dishwashing, cleaning, and organizing kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining a hygienic and organized kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
Dishwashing and Sanitization:Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans promptly and efficiently.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitized according to established standards.
Kitchen Organization:Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen.
Empty and clean trash bins regularly to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment.
Supporting Kitchen Operations:Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth workflow during busy periods.
Stock Management:Receive and store kitchen supplies in the designated areas.
Monitor and report low stock levels to the appropriate personnel.
Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
Report any safety concerns or incidents to the kitchen supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting.
