LLM Engineer / AI Engineer

Intelvision is looking for an AI Engineer who’s passionate about Large Language Models, cutting-edge AI research, and building high-performance conversational systems from scratch.

You’ll be joining as the first dedicated AI developer on the project for a client in the e-learning sector — a digitally-forward, all-inclusive boating school delivering top-tier training for the German sport boating license entirely online. The main goal: develop and implement a customer support chatbot capable of automatically creating drafts for the CRM system.

Responsibilities:

— Lead the full AI development cycle: design, train, test, and deploy the customer support chatbot capable of automatically creating CRM drafts

— Train and fine-tune open-weight LLMs such as Mixtral 8x22B, Mistral-Medium 22B, LLaMA 3.3 70B (via Hugging Face)

— Implement supervised training for user-agent conversational models

— Optimize chatbot performance using reinforcement learning and function calling

— Evaluate and benchmark current and emerging LLMs (including testing models like OpenAI’s GPT-OSS)

— Collaborate directly with the client and their team to align AI solutions with business needs

— Document processes and model configurations to ensure reproducibility and scalability

Requirements:

— 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML, including Senior , Tech/Team Lead roles

— Proven track record in training and fine-tuning open-weight LLMs for production use

— Deep expertise in LLM architectures, conversational AI, reinforcement learning, and function calling

— Practical experience with supervised training for user-agent conversational models

— Strong knowledge of SFTtrainer, PyTorch, Weights & Biases (W&B), and Unsloth

— Proven ability to run AI projects end-to-end, from PoC to production deployment

— Excellent communication skills with a proactive, consulting-oriented approach

— English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2+) or higher

Would be a plus:

— Passion for LLM research & innovation (you’re an “LLM nerd” in the best sense)

— Experience with multiple LLM architectures and model evaluation techniques

— Prior consulting or client-facing experience in AI/ML projects

— Hands-on involvement in benchmarking and experimenting with emerging AI models

— Understanding of deployment best practices for large-scale AI systems

— Familiarity with optimizing inference performance for high-load environments
