Job Description – Maintenance Technician
Traditional Meat Company (TMC) is a beef processing company with decades of experience in the processing and export of quality beef to niche high-end markets across Europe with integrated slaughter and deboning facilities in Oldcastle, Co Meath. This focus on quality is achieved by attention to detail and professionalism in the procurement, slaughter, chilling, boning and logistics processes. Due to the rapid expansion of our operations, we are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician.
The Role:
· Operating as part of the maintenance team across all areas of the site.
· Work in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines.
· Provide analysis of production efficiency.
· The role demands flexibility and cross-functional liaison and co-operation, combined with competent technical ability. In addition, the maintenance technician is required to assist in the safe and efficient operation of daily PM checks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be responsible for ensuring that services and facility are maintained and functioning effectively and efficiently.
Work with flexibility within the Maintenance team and in co-operation with other departments.
You will be implementing the company preventative maintenance programme through scheduled PMs based on risk assessment and performance reliability. Carrying out planned/unplanned maintenance within the site.
You must respond immediately to breakdowns, ensuring minimum downtime is experienced. Proactively follow up on re-occurring technical issues.
You will carry out detailed root cause analysis on breakdowns to implement corrective repairs and future preventative action.
Completion of non-trade specific work as required.
Daily reporting of maintenance activities ensuring issues and open items / concerns are communicated in a timely and concise manner.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A suitable qualification in a mechanical discipline is required.
- Strong fault finding / problem solving skills essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to take lead on maintenance issues and to work independently or as a team member.
- Proven track record in your current role is essential.
- The role is varied where both electrical and mechanical skills are required. Candidates who can show an aptitude and ability in both disciplines will have a distinct advantage
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €40,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
