Preventive Maintenance:
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician reporting into the Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of mechanical systems and equipment within an industrial or manufacturing setting. This role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical systems and electrical equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them before they lead to breakdowns.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, diagnosing root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
Equipment Upgrades and Modifications:
- Propose and implement upgrades or modifications to improve equipment performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Coordinate with engineering and production teams for the seamless integration of modifications.
Spare Parts Management:
- Manage inventory of critical spare parts and ensure their availability to minimize delays in repairs.
- Establish relationships with suppliers to source quality spare parts in a cost-effective manner.
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with safety officers to identify and address potential safety hazards.
Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and downtime.
Training and Development:
- Provide training to operations and maintenance staff on proper equipment use and care.
- Stay updated on new technologies and maintenance best practices through continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree or related trade qualification (Mechanic / Fitter / Electrician etc)
- Proven experience in mechanical / Electricial maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- AB PLC training is an advantage

This role includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule, with additional compensation provided for after-hours support
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
