Progressive Vision is currently seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our dynamic team across our busy Ophthalmology practices in Sandyford and Swords.
Progressive Vision is a multidisciplinary private eye clinic specialising in general ophthalmology, cataract, glaucoma, cornea, age–related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, medical retina and vitreo-retinal surgery & pediatric ophthalmology. The Ophthalmic Technician will work alongside Optometrists and Ophthalmologists in a shared care setting. The ideal candidate will have an interest in medical photography with a keen desire to learn and develop professional and clinical skills. The Ophthalmic Technician will be responsible for performing preliminary eye function and diagnostic testing to help diagnose and treat eye conditions. Full training is provided along with support to achieve internationally recognised qualifications in Ophthalmology.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Ophthalmology practice or similar clinical environment is essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
