Job Summary:
The Louis Fitzgerald Hotel is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Meetings & Events Executive to join our Sales & Events team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in reservations, group bookings, and preferably, Opera Cloud experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving and managing meetings, conferences, and group accommodation business, ensuring smooth coordination from enquiry through to execution.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all incoming enquiries for meetings, conferences, and events – from initial contact to post-event follow-up.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and function sheets in line with hotel standards.
- Coordinate group accommodation bookings and ensure all guest requirements are met.
- Liaise with all relevant departments (kitchen, front office, banqueting, reservations) to ensure seamless event execution.
- Conduct client site inspections and maintain strong relationships with corporate and group clients.
- Ensure all bookings and records are accurately maintained using Opera Cloud PMS (or other systems).
- Maintain and update event calendars, reporting tools, and internal communication logs.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to convert leads into confirmed business.
- Attend weekly revenue and operational meetings, contributing to business development and strategy.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years’ experience in a Meetings & Events or Reservations/Groups role, preferably within a hotel environment.
- Opera Cloud experience highly desirable.
- Proven experience in handling group bookings and reservations.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A passion for hospitality, guest service, and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on event schedules.
