Twomeys Bakery is a fourth generation family bakery, nestled in the heart of west Co. Limerick in the village of Dromcollogher. Established in 1901, we are one of Ireland’s oldest family bakeries.

A range of fresh Artisan Breads, Cakes & Tarts are produced on a daily basis in our purpose built facility.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of printing delivery notes for all outgoing orders and ensure dispatch records are accurately maintained.
- Manage customer accounts, including daily posting of bank receipts and escalating overdue payments outside credit terms to management.
- Reconcile all customer accounts and ensure up-to-date, accurate record-keeping.
- Manage supplier accounts: schedule and process weekly payments, verify monthly statements, and reconcile supplier accounts.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations against Sage accounts.
- Carry out monthly trial balance procedures using Sage.
- Prepare and submit bi-monthly VAT returns in line with Revenue compliance.
- Schedule pallet collections with hauliers and through customer portals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an accounts or office administration role
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Accounts software (or similar accounting packages).
- Proficiency in bank reconciliations, customer/supplier account management, and VAT return preparation.
- Familiarity with trial balance procedures and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Solid problem-solving skills, particularly around payment discrepancies and reconciliation issues.
- Comfortable using customer portals and liaising with hauliers/logistics providers.
- Strong communication skills — both written and verbal — for internal and external correspondence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.
