We are currently looking for a reliable and organized Parts Storeman to join our team in Kilkenny and Waterford area.
Requirements:
Experience working with HGV, LGV, or plant machinery parts is essential
Strong computer literacy and familiarity with inventory software
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
A full, clean driving licence is required
Forklift certification would be an advantage (optional)
Responsibilities:
Manage the receipt, inspection, and documentation of all incoming parts and materials
Ensure correct and prompt delivery of parts to workshop technicians as required
Provide accurate advice and support to staff and customers on selecting suitable parts
Maintain optimal stock levels through regular monitoring and restocking
Conduct and support periodic stocktakes and audits
Handle the return process for faulty or surplus stock efficiently and professionally
Use computer systems to track inventory, place orders, and maintain accurate records
Ensure the stores area is clean, organised, and compliant with safety procedures
Liaise with suppliers and other departments to ensure timely procurement of parts
