Established Independent Chemist/Pharmacy in Tuam is looking for a full time OTC/Sales assistant to join their team. You will work 5 days a week incl. weekend ROTA on saturday.
The main duties of this role will be working front-of-house, liaising with customers and maintaining stock and shop appearance. Communication skills are essential. Previous pharmacy experience and experience with skincare brands is a plus.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Providing outstanding customer service and expert advice with a friendly smile
- Driving sales to achieve the pharmacy's targets
- Building and maintaining positive personal relationships with our customers.
- Providing excellent customer advice through product knowledge
- Supporting colleagues and maintaining a positive working environment
- Maintaining & Managing stock at optimal levels and replenishing stock.
- Ensuring stock is merchandised in an organised and attractive manner
Knowledge and experience required:
- Previous OTC sales and customer service experience is essential
- Previous experience in merchandising and purchasing a distinct advantage
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- A positive can do attitude and work well with a team.
- A work ethic centered on customer service.
- A minimum of 1 year's experience working in retail pharmacy
- A keen interest in retail pharmacy
