Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in policy implementation and understanding of advertising policies.
- Experience in Trust and Safety.
- Experience in scaled solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

In this role, you will drive change to products, policies, systems and processes, and connect across policy, product, engineering, business, government affairs, public relations and legal teams to bridge their interests through policy implementation and targeted communications. You will ensure policy intent is translated in execution and explain policies to internal and external audiences. You will have a focus on optimizing policy implementation so it can be achieved with efficiency and scale. You will work on the user for using technical, legal, business, and policy expertise to improve Google's policies and user experience. You will advise Google on core principles and also drive and manage projects. You will work with sensitive content or situations and will be exposed to graphic, controversial, or upsetting topics or content.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a member of the policy team responsible for implementing scalable Google Ads, including Shopping advertising and content policies. Identify gaps or conflicts in existing policy framework, develop scalable solutions, and work to win consensus across the organization.
- Manage and resolve escalations from internal and external parties (including sales, legal, PR) as appropriate. Identify escalation patterns and trends and provide feedback on systems/tools process in order to increase automation while providing a better user experience.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Trust and Safety teams, and Engineering to influence product decisions and prioritization and improve user experience for policy-related issues. Collaborate with Sales, internal support organizations for policies to be understandable in its landing in the market.
- Drive awareness and understanding of content and advertising policies across the Ads ecosystem and respective partners.
