The Opportunity
The successful candidate will support the Onshore PMO Head of Function in developing and leading a team responsible for developing the onshore business intelligence and analytics offering. You will also be responsible for leading strategic, change related projects – with outcomes for example to simplify reporting and storytelling of onshore business readiness and onshore capital projects with the C-Suite, Government and the Regulator across our complex programme of work.
The role holder will lead the team in implementing the Business aspects of this work which are complex in nature and require significant changes to how we source, store, transform, consolidate, quality assure and analyse our data. The role also involves driving business process and inputs for IT system and application deliverables and outcomes. This will be achieved by Business Intelligence Team led collaboration across the EirGrid Business and IT teams in the areas of business intelligence, data modelling and analytics, business process change and reporting and controls.
In this position you will be leading a team who act as the primary interface for PMO Onshore business engagement in the delivery of business intelligence and Onshore IT projects. You will work closely with the onshore team and business experts and lead strategic partner resources to deliver large programmes of work and ensure engagement and formal agreement throughout. You should be able to move seamlessly between traditional agile project development methods.
The Team
The Infrastructure office leads the development and delivery of the power system, onshore and interconnection investment programmes in collaboration with partners, customers and communities.
The Onshore Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for undertaking three key roles within Infrastructure; Regulation and Compliance Reporting and Auditing, Business Operations and Governance, and Business Intelligence. The team is responsible for setting the governance policies and standards to be used for onshore business readiness and large scale onshore transmission infrastructure and regulatory auditing and monitoring of OpEx and CapEx delivery.
The team also develops reports on schedule and financial information and delivery of outcomes and benefits aligned to strategic objectives across the development and readiness of the onshore transmission infrastructure to key stakeholders such as DECC and the CRU.

About you
Successful candidates will have:
- You will have a university degree in Business, Information Technology or other equivalent degree, typically with 10+ years relevant experience
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills, and experience leading process design, implementation, change management and improvement
- Experience implementing data analytic tools, reporting dashboards and business process change initiatives to improve data management and quality assurance
- Extensive experience in leading business intelligence and change programmes, structuring and executing complex projects as a programme manager
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders to deliver on project goals. Ability to successfully guide, persuade and influence others through developed skills of communication and diplomacy
- Experience leading teams and strategic partners using formal project management methodologies and disciplines for a programme or multiple projects
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the programme objectives, inspire and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with the business strategy
Desirable
- Knowledge of energy sector and capital project infrastructure delivery
- Experience of working in a regulated environment, preferably utility based, understanding of regulations and licence obligations
- Knowledge and experience in implementing business intelligence aspects and key components of Microsoft Fabric, Dynamics and Microsoft Project Project Online systems.
- Knowledge of implementation and OJEU Procurement for Asset Management, Supply Chain Management and Knowledge and Information systems in public bodies
