Job Summary: Civils Project Manager Cork
Responsibilities:
Ensure projects are delivered in line with safety, quality, and cost objectives set by both the business and the client.
Analyse and report on project portfolio performance, including KPI tracking, budget management, cost control, risk mitigation, client billing, and cash flow. Implement rapid recovery plans where required.
Develop and manage detailed project schedules and programmes of work, identifying and overseeing resource requirements, plant, equipment, and material needs.
Manage and coordinate daily workflows between site crews, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of project tasks.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, designers, and other key project stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout.
Prepare and deliver accurate and timely progress reports to clients and internal management.
Manage project scope changes and variations, ensuring timely communication with the Quantity Surveying team for pricing and cost recovery.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of business operating systems, with a focus on enhancing efficiency in project management processes.
Lead and develop a high-performing project team, ensuring alignment with company values and achievement of project and organisational goals.

Required Qualifications:
Education
Qualified Level 8 Civils Engineering/Construction
Experience:
Proven track record of delivering civil infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
Strong knowledge of health and safety.
Proficiency in project planning and scheduling
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost management and reporting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Minimum 5 years experience in a project management role within the civil engineering or construction sector.
Experience with utility works road opening License (Purple Book)
SLG - Sign lighting and guarding
Certifications: Safe Pass, PSCS
Required Skills & Competencies:
Project Management – Strong ability to plan, execute, and oversee civil engineering projects from start to finish.
Commercial Awareness – Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, contract administration, and financial reporting.
Leadership & Team Management – Capable of leading multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and site operatives to deliver results.
Communication Skills – Clear and effective communicator with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
Problem Solving – Proactive in identifying issues and implementing practical, timely solutions under pressure.
Planning & Scheduling – Competent in developing and managing programmes
Health, Safety & Environmental Knowledge – Good working knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
Utility Awareness – Solid knowledge of working safely around underground services, including interpreting service plans and applying safe digging practices. (e.g. water, gas, electricity, telecoms)
