The Opportunity
We now seeking a Regulatory Support Senior Lead to join our Onshore Infrastructure Delivery Programme Management Office.
As Regulatory Support Senior Lead, you will lead the successful completion of major deliverables within the Chief Infrastructure Office (CIO) annual regulatory work programme by working with a team of engineering, business and commercially experienced professionals to ensure that business priorities are met.
We will look to you to work with the Infrastructure Leadership Team, Programme and Project Managers to ensure that the delivery of key strategic projects and programmes are in compliance with our Governance Controls and that Investment Plans are delivering the outcomes and benefits agreed with CRU and ESB Networks.
As part of your role, you will play an active role in the development, implementation and oversight of the delivery of the annual Regulatory work programme for Infrastructure related Regulatory PR5 and PR6 deliverables.
The Team
The Programme Management Office (PMO) is responsible for undertaking four key roles; 1. Infrastructure Delivery Programme Regulation, 2. Compliance and Risk Management, 3. Investment Portfolio Reporting and 4. Price Review (PR). The team is responsible for setting the policies and standards to be used for large scale transmission infrastructure, Regulatory audit and compliance, risk management and monitoring of Capex delivery. The team also develops reports on schedule and financial performance and delivery of outcomes and benefits aligned to strategic objectives across the full Transmission Infrastructure Portfolio to key stakeholders such as DCEE and the CRU.

About you
Successful candidates will have:
- Qualification to degree level or equivalent qualification, with minimum 8 years relevant post-qualification experience.
- Power system industry expertise or other regulated utility experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on high quality report writing, an ability to develop graphical overviews and to communicate complex regulatory and commercial issues clearly and effectively to Heads of Function and Chief Officers.
- Ability to influence others to move towards a common vision or goal and to work collaboratively with others to resolve issues as they arise.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to develop, communicate and “sell” Incentive and audit objectives.
- Experience developing solutions or new ways of doing things with good analytical and problem solving ability.
- Experience planning and organising work activities for self and others within a cross-functional team such as report writing and audit preparations to meet deadlines and deliver high quality outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively and transparently with others across the business and externally to deliver outcomes in accordance with strategic objectives.
- Experience of high voltage transmission at 110/220/400 kV including an awareness of substations, overhead lines and power cables would be an advantage.
