Retail Cashier / Full–time / Kinnegad Plaza
We are currently recruiting for the position of Retail Cashier at Kinnegad Plaza.
This role supports the Retail & Forecourt Manager in the sale and display of Spar and related products. The main purpose of the role is to provide all customers—no matter which area of the plaza they visit—with a friendly, welcoming service, going the extra mile to meet their needs in a clean and presentable environment.
All roles require flexibility, including merchandising, serving, cleaning, and ensuring every customer enjoys a great visit, every time.
Duties & Responsibilities
Retail
- Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner, delivering an exceptional standard of customer care.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and refer to the store manager when necessary.
- Accurately process sales, payments, and follow cash-handling policies.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Clean all areas of the store (including staff facilities) as directed.
- Maintain the Coffee Dock area and equipment to the required hygiene standards.
- Update shelf labels as instructed.
- Assist at the Supermac’s/Deli counter during busy periods.
Cash Office
- Count cash accurately and prepare lodgements for Securicor collection.
- Prepare daily floats and ensure ATM lodgements are completed.
- Complete daily and weekly reports as requested by Head Office.
- Book in delivery dockets daily on the CBE system.
- Carry out stock takes of key lines as required.
- Organise monthly stock counts.
- Prepare staff rotas with the Retail Manager and ensure weekly wage reports are accurate.
- Manage transfer dockets, newspaper/magazine returns, and credit notes.
- Follow up on short deliveries.
- Maintain filing systems up to date.
- Assist on the shop floor when needed.
- Order coins for the shop.
- Carry out other ad hoc duties as required by the Retail or Site Manager.
- Provide flexibility to assist at tills during peak times.
