Job Title: Retail Horticulturist
Job Purpose: Manage the day-to-day operations of the departments to deliver a store that is a destination for service to the local area. To be responsible for supporting the activities of the line manager. Combining expertise, creativity, and a commitment to sustainability, they help drive the success of the garden center.

Location: Arrabawn Tipperary, Athenry
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
Driving profitable sales and consistent results
Achieve KPI monthly/yearly targets
Executing store specific plans
Contribute to team meetings to drive the business forward
Organize store specific promotions and execute the setup
To support the development of categories & key lines
Working with store management on market research to ensure we provide the best product range for our customers' needs
Cross selling products increasing purchase amounts
Maintaining accurate inventory and books to ensure stock loss is within budget
Minimizing stock and margin loss through sales floor sales process
Effective and timely re-stocking of the store
Passionate about the process, be in stock to ensure no customer has a wasted journey
Provide great customer service by consistently achieving service targets
Dealing with all customer queries including telephone queries in an efficient and professional manner
Processing payment and dealing with customer point of sales enquiries
Improve & maintain a high-quality standard of store presentation
Effective communication channels put in place with other team members
Resolve common customers complaints
The ability to be a brand ambassador for the company
Using own experience and skill set to guide and help other team members
Competitor visits to check for opportunities for our business to develop
Attend sales conferences to meet suppliers and gain expert training
Follow and complete any Health and Safety tasks allocated by management
Developing own leadership capabilities through the use of own personal development plan
Be flexible during peak times and adjust to support the stores needs to deliver the best results
Engage and network with other stores to share ideas and help support growth
Be flexible to work across various departments and other Arrabawn retail stores.
To support the manager with organizing themed events, including the profiling of
seasonal goods and plants
To ensure the appropriate care and maintenance of plants including watering, feeding, planting, etc.
To maintain a high standard of display in the Garden Centre, and to assist the manager to merchandise the shop in order to make best use of the space available
To deal responsibly with customer complaints
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
Previous relevant retail sales experience
Extensive Plant knowledge
Understanding of Sustainability and Trends
Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)
Great customer service focus
Ability to work on own initiative
Computer skills with advanced levels in Microsoft and core systems or similar IT programs
Superior product knowledge
Commercial awareness
Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail
Passionate individual that is willing to learn on the job
Coaching experience
