We are looking for a Retail Sales Assistant in our childrens boutique in the charming village of Ashford, Co. Wicklow. We specialise in sustainable 100% organic childrenswear and toys and books as well as a selection of homeware. We are looking for a part time retail assistant to join our team in our new store and to provide excellent customer service and possess a warm, friendly, can-do attitude.
Candidates need to have good communication skills and the ability to make customers feel welcome in our store. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions and recommend products. A positive attitude and a desire to learn about sustainability and our childrens and homeware products is required.
Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied, happy and looking forward to their next visit.
This position is part time 2 to 3 days a week so may suit someone looking to return to work. Must be available to work weekends on a rotating basis
Responsibilities
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Maintain a fully stocked store
- Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
- Recommend and display items that match customer needs
- Welcome and greet customers
- Manage point-of-sale processes
- Actively involve in the receiving of new shipments and inventory
- Keep up to date with product information

Requirements and skills
