Due to the continued success of our Sales team and our ambition to grow even further, a new opportunity has become available. This role will span both Sales and Freight Forwarding, offering a dynamic and rewarding challenge for the right candidate.
- Price and respond to queries from inbound emails and phone enquiries.
- Manage and action the forwarding email account responding in a timely manner by liaising with colleagues and customers, escalating when necessary.
- Provide rates to customers in a timely manner based on current trends and costings as agreed within the sales team.
- Record all quotations in our Sales system.
- Manage the day-to-day administration and recording of movements, incidents, and issues on the Transport Management System.
- Create and manage all collections and deliveries from end to end with the sub-contractor.
- Produce and issue daily reports to key customers where required.
- Take the lead on pricing and answer sales queries from inbound emails and phone enquiries.
- Manage and action the sales email account by responding in a timely manner, evaluating the enquiry, and liaising with colleagues and customers. Progress enquiry to forwarding department when necessary.
- Set up and manage rate cards for regular routes.
- Monitor fuel surcharges on monthly a basis advising customers of increases/decreases ensuring that the costs provided by ferry companies are up-to-date and communicated to all staff.
- Assist accounts team with queries.
- Preparation and submission of customs declarations for all import/export movements ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Any other ad hoc duties as and when required to meet business needs.
