This role is based in Road Logistics department, reporting into the Cork Road Logistics Manager.
Purpose of the Role
- Working on your own initiative and also being a key player in the Road team to offer solutions in a timely and efficient manner to the end customer to ensure all aspects of operation are completed with accuracy and quality.
- To be a positive face on Kuehne+Nagel and to develop excellent relationships with customers.
- The role will ensure that the department operates to “Best in Class” quality standards and in an environment of conscious improvement.
- Follow all Kuehne+Nagel’ s overland procedures.
- The role is to comply with company health & safety and GDP Pharma Guidelines.
- Day to day operations in busy office environment to include dealing with customers/customs clearance /invoicing/creditors/& other reports and administration duties.
- Trailer Planning , transport and distribution within Ireland and Europe.
- Be aware of the importance of following the Good Distribution Practice for Pharma products along all the supply change and following all the SOP concerned with the products, if concerned.
- Delivery and collection scheduling and dealing with carriers/hauliers/subcontractors and third parties.
- Foster and develop good relations with both existing and potential customers to ensure retention and growth.
- Liaise with overseas partners to ensure the department is proactive in providing a quality operational performance.
- Develop in depth knowledge of all aspects of the role to ensure full ownership.
- Deal with all customer phone sales and/or customer queries.
- Establish a good working relationship with the road logistics department and its customers.
- Ensure that all tariffs are kept up to date on the system.
- Maintaining and/or implementing good working practices & procedures to ensure that the department run efficiently and with professionalism.
- Proactive participation and adherence to the company QSHE system.
- Delivering excellence in quality and customer service every time.
- Managing your performance via Key Performance Indicators as discussed with your manager.
- Pro-actively look for continuous improvement with the department to ultimately provide the customer with an efficient and professional service.
- Promote KN positively with customers through high quality of work, excellent communication,pro-active approach and positive attitude.
- Supporting other operations by having flexibility around working in different locations.
- Respond to all queries in a timely manner with accurate and complete information
