Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Engr III - SAP Application Support Analyst with a strong focus on Materials Management (MM) to join our dynamic Business Systems and Intelligence (BSAI) team. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our SAP ECC or S/4HANA environments and their integrated systems. You will play a vital role in troubleshooting complex issues, supporting critical business processes, and contributing to the evolution of our enterprise systems.
What you'll be doing...
Provide expert-level production support for SAP ECC or S/4HANA, with a primary focus on Materials Management (MM) modules, including [mention specific MM sub-modules if particularly relevant, e.g., Purchasing, Inventory Management, Goods Receipts, Invoice Verification, Material Master Data].
Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex application defects and incidents reported by business users or identified through monitoring, ensuring timely resolution within defined SLAs.
Perform comprehensive root cause analysis for recurring issues and collaborate with functional teams, technical developers, and Basis teams to implement sustainable solutions.
Support key integration points between SAP and other critical business systems, including 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) systems, Ariba, external platforms like Mirakl, and various upstream/downstream applications.
Assist with the testing and validation of system enhancements, upgrades, patches, and disaster recovery activities to ensure system integrity and business continuity.
Develop and maintain documentation for support processes, troubleshooting guides, and system configurations.
Collaborate closely with Technical Project Management (TPM) teams to understand new project designs, ensure error handling is robust, and facilitate smooth post-hypercare transitions to steady-state support.
Participate in on-call rotations or provide after-hours support for critical production outages, system slowdowns, and urgent incident resolution.
What we're looking for...
You're a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of SAP landscapes, particularly within Materials Management, and a passion for ensuring seamless business operations. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams.
You will need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in SAP Application Support for either SAP ECC or S/4HANA environments, with demonstrated expertise in the Materials Management (MM) module.
Proven experience in troubleshooting, defect resolution, and root cause analysis in a complex SAP landscape.
Solid understanding of key SAP MM functionalities, as well as their integration with other modules such as Sales & Distribution (SD) and Finance (FI/CO).
Experience with SAP integration technologies (e.g., IDocs, APIs) and troubleshooting integration failures.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a global team, coordinating with diverse stakeholders across different time zones.
Experience with defect tracking and change management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
Even better if you have:
Familiarity with supply chain processes, inventory management, and 3PL integrations in a telecommunications context.
Experience with Ariba or other Source-to-Pay processes.
Prior experience in a multinational company.
