Start Date: 16 August 2022
- Preparing and maintaining equipment and chemicals for science lessons and demonstrations.
- Managing stock levels and placing orders for science materials.
- Ensuring all lab spaces meet health and safety standards, including risk assessments.
- Supporting teachers and students during practical work, especially for IB internal assessments and extended essays.
- Assisting with the care of living specimens and long-term biology experiments.
- Participating in department and health & safety meetings, and occasionally invigilating exams.
- Acting as a trained first aider and supporting with medical needs training.
- A qualification in Laboratory or Scientific disciplines.
- Prior experience in a school or lab setting.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent IT and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail.
- A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work.
