Senior analyst, Settlements
Transfer Agency
Reporting to a Team Leader, as part of a dedicated cross jurisdictional Settlements Team, your main responsibility will be oversight and Quality Assurance (QA) of external and internal cash payments adhering to strict deadlines. Ensuring that all client service standards and regulatory requirements are met together with working with partners in different jurisdictions.
The Transfer Agency (TA) department provides third party fund services to numerous fund management companies covering the full range of shareholder service functions including client services, dealing, registration, settlements, distributions, and commissions.
You will be responsible for working with TA partners and Team Leaders supporting your team daily in addition to developing the ‘on the job skills’ to enhance the overall performance of the department.
Principal Responsibilities
- Responsible for input, approval & QA checks on Redemption, Subscription, Dividend, Commission and Rebate payments against strict currency deadlines
- Ensure queries are answered in line with department procedures
- Work queue management and completion within relevant deadlines
- Attend and participate in team huddles and team meetings
- Support team in monitoring mailboxes to ensure all queries are completed within the service level agreement
- Support the improvement of quality through procedural reviews and enhancements.
- Fulfil additional, relevant, tasks appropriate to the role and business requirements
- Participate in client visit meetings as required
- Maintain a close working relationship with other areas of TA and external stakeholders
- Required to play an active role if/when the department undergoes an audit
- Ensure adherence to all Northern Trust policies, procedures, and controls
- Adherence to Client SLDs
- Support and participate in any project related work as required
- Assist with the onboarding of new partners and act as a buddy/mentor to ensure they integrate into the role with ease. By available for on the job training ECT.
- Maintains a close working relationship with other TA areas, such as Dealing, Registration, and other internal areas such as the Client Services

Qualifications / Skills / Experience
- Previous financial services experience is desirable
- Customer Service experience would be an advantage
- Ability to review and resolve complex issues working under pressure meeting challenging deadlines
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Strong planning and organisation skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Effective verbal reasoning and numeric skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge and understanding of working within a regulatory Environment
