JOB TITLE: Senior Reservations Supervisor, with excellent career progression opportunities within 12 months!
Purpose of job: To be responsible for the Reservations Department to the hotel standard as stipulated in the Standard of Performance Manual.
Responsible to: General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Director of Sales, Marketing & Revenue & Revenue & Reservations Manager
Key Communications: Reception, Conference & Banqueting, and Sales & Marketing.
Roles & Responsibilities
- To oversee the running of reservations office ensuring that it is run smoothly and efficiently.
- To ensure all bookings are confirmed by the client and confirmed to the client in writing.
- To operate an efficient filing system.
- To assist in operating a yield management system and ensure the best rates are achieved at all times depending on the hotels availability.
- To be a sales person for the hotel by up selling and recommending the hotel facilities.
- To recognise sales leads and pass them on to the sales office.
- To have full knowledge of all the hotel’s rates and packages.
- To have full control of the reservations in the systems.
- To check email, Siteminder and all other websites on a daily basis.
- To check and confirm all commission claims for the accounts office.
- To recognise regular and repeat business and ensure special requests are clearly noted for reception.
- To manage tour series blocks.
- To ensure that the Reservations SOP is up to date and that the team are fully trained in any updates.
- To work closely with the reception staff and ensure all information for bookings is passed on to them in order to ensure every guest has a problem free stay.
- To help train new reservations & front office staff.
