Senior Social Worker
Permanent - 35 hours/wk
The primary role of the post will be to work within the multidisciplinary Team in a senior capacity to support adults with intellectual disabilities and their families.
Essential Criteria
The post holder will have:
O Obtained a National Qualification in Social Work (NQSW) or a professional qualification which is recognised as equivalent by CORU.
O Be currently registered as a social worker with CORU.
O Five years post qualification experience.
O Proven effectiveness as a professional social worker.
O Ability to work across different teams and with different professions (e.g. Adult MDT team, MHID, Transitions, Respite).
O Experience of working within Disability Services.
O Completed HSE Safeguarding Designated Officer Training and have experience and knowledge of Adult Safeguarding.
O Knowledge of legal responsibility as a Mandated Person under the Children First Act, 2015.
O Have a full driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Criteria
O Experience of working in a senior role.
O Leadership experience.
O Practice Teaching/Supervision experience.
O Presentation Skills.
O Group work skills.
O Team work skills.
The location is initially within the Cheeverstown Centre, Templeogue but will require flexibility in location within the Cheeverstown catchment area.
Salary- Salary will be paid at Senior Social Worker pay scale, as per current Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales.
