What you will do:
The PGIM Real Estate Information Systems team is seeking a full-time Software Engineer experienced with test automation. The successful candidate will work with a high performing and diverse team that supports PGIM Real Estate’s Global Debt Business including loan origination, asset management, portfolio management and servicing functions. The Software Engineer role will work alongside the Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Engineers to automate testing for the Omnia platform, our proprietary cloud-based application used across PGIM Real Estate’s Global Debt Business.
The Automation Engineer will play a key role in Omnia, focusing on the design, development, and execution of automated testing solutions for both UI and API layers. This role requires strong proficiency in Java and Selenium, as well as experience with test data management using Excel and JSON templates. The engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test scripts, executing them across various environments, and reporting results to ensure the highest quality of product delivery.
This position is in PGIM Real Estate’s Letterkenny office.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing using Java and Selenium.
• Create and manage file templates in Excel and JSON for test data and scenario management.
• Execute automated test suites on local IDEs, remote VMs (via Jenkins), and Remote Selenium Grids.
• Analyze and identify passed/failed test scenarios, documenting results in Excel/JSON files.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand requirements and translate them into automated test cases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test automation scripts and execution environments.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and processes.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QAs in identifying scenarios and inputs
What you will bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in test automation with a focus on Java and Selenium.
• Proficiency in creating and managing test data using Excel and JSON.
• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools for automated test execution.
• Familiarity with Selenium Grid and distributed test execution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
